Muhannad Al-Tarifi received Ph.D. degree in nanoscience and nanoengineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City, SD, USA, in 2013. Since graduation, he worked as a Research Associate with the Antenna and Research Group, Department of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering, University of Colorado Boulder, Boulder, CO, USA. His research interests include the design and fabrication of microwave and millimeter-wave components and antennas, and electric vehicle modeling and consumption studies. On September 2018, Dr. Al-Tarifi joined the Electrical Engineering Department at Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), Amman, Jordan, as an Assistant Professor, where he taught variety of course related to digital design, electronic devices, instrumentation, control theory, industrial systems, electromagnetics, and electric vehicles. Dr. Al-Tarifi is continually taking part of committees related to research and capacity building in the fields of electric vehicles, employability, and teaching and learning.
