Alaa Abdalla

Alaa Abdalla is the Director of Professional Development, Community Engagement, and Outreach Center at Al Hussein Technical University, which was established by the Crown Prince Foundation. With a background in Mechanical Engineering, Alaa started her career as a service engineer at Kia motors and quickly rose through the ranks in various fields and industries over the past 17 years.

Alaa has proven expertise in integrating business and organizational processes and has volunteered as a board member, core team member, judge, and mentor for different entities. She is a certified trainer and leader who has trained hundreds of individuals in negotiation skills, communication skills, design thinking, and business model canvas material.

Alaa's success and achievements are derived from her vision of improving and growing institutions. She is a unique player amongst young leaders of this modern world, and her belief in each individual around her and the uplifting support she provides translates her values and quality, bringing about fantastic management and quality.

Alaa has acted as a professional advisor to the Board of Directors in all aspects of the organization's activities. She has developed collaborative partnerships with all stakeholders, built an effective team of leaders, secured funding, and ensured the sustainability of financial and human resources. She has represented Jordan GBC for government liaison and media relations and has facilitated and spoken at different local, national, regional, and international events as a Master of Ceremony.

Alaa has reviewed all the publications, proposals, and reports issued by Jordan GBC and tackled funding proposals from idea to project closure. She has developed and reviewed the organization's strategy, provided technical support to five green building councils in the region on the strategic level, established administrative procedures, and developed many of the organization's internal procedures to get ISO 9001:2008 certificate. She has also achieved a big profit target from implementing a huge event and created and followed up on the dealer systems and procedure, receiving the "Platinum dealer certificate" for Jordan branch.

Alaa Abdalla has been named a climate champion by the World Green Building Council and was the youngest Director of the Green Building Councils worldwide. She is an epitome of essence and an inspiration to many and has mentored leaders who have gone on to leading positions in international NGOs.
