Prof. Moh’d Sami Ashhab is an accomplished mechanical engineering Professor with a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. With over two decades of experience in academia and industry, he has made a significant contribution to the field of control, dynamics, mechanics, automation, MEMS and NEMS, artificial intelligence, optimization, simulation, energy, and industrial applications. After earning his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering/control and dynamics, Prof. Ashhab worked in the industry for four years in the U.S.A. In 2002, he joined the Hashemite University in Jordan and was promoted to Professor in 2013. He later spent his sabbatical and unpaid leaves from 2015 to 2018 at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates as a mechanical engineering Professor. Prof. Ashhab has also served as the editor-in-chief of the Jordan Journal of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from 2018 to 2022. In 2020, he joined Al Hussein Technical University as the dean of scientific research and innovation. Throughout his career, Prof. Ashhab has made significant contributions to the field of mechanical engineering and has published numerous research papers in various prestigious journals. His vast experience in industry and academia, coupled with his exceptional leadership skills, makes him a valuable asset to any organization he works with.
